Why Is Unconditional Love Important?

This is what the Lord says, “. . . you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you . . .”
Isaiah 43:1, 4

Love notes keep the romance alive when you’re dating as well as after you’re married. Similarly, an email from a parent or sibling, a text from a dear friend, or a card from your children can make your whole day seem extra special. Knowing that your beloved took the time to write down their feelings makes you feel uniquely loved and reminds you how much they care about you.

God’s Word provides the same kind of encouragement to us as his beloved children. Throughout its pages, he reveals his passionate pursuit of his sons and daughters, even when we turn away from him or struggle to understand our life’s events. The Lord comforts us, embraces us, and encourages us as the loving Father he is. When we view the Bible as being filled with love notes from our Dad, we can’t wait to explore its pages.

You can grow closer to God with my full Jesus Daily® Devotional Book at fine bookstores everywhere.

Pray: “Father, your love for me is amazing, even when I mess up. Through your Word, remind me that your love is unconditional and that your grace is limitless.”
