Nathan Leach started a small YouTube channel a few years ago, filming himself singing “Blackbird” by The Beatles in his bedroom. Not attempting to become an internet sensation, little information about him can be found outside of this channel. His personal mission is simple: “I enjoy listening to and playing music. It’s fun.”
He’s been posting videos of other covers and some original songs since then, but it’s always a treat when his family joins him. He is accompanied in this video by his sister Eva. Their voices mix nicely, and although they begin rather shy and reserved, as they sink into the music they produce together, you can see how their tensions release.
The song they sing in the clip is Family Of The Year’s “Hero.” Originally published in 2012 the song acquired a popularity revival when it was featured prominently in the film Boyhood.
