Losing a pet can be very difficult. Are they cold? Safe? Scared? One can only imagine if their dog or cat is terrified, or simply exploring and plans to return home. One dog owner found comfort when police identified his pet by his singing.
RescueEveryDog.org explains the singing behavior of this breed.
“Siberian Huskies are vocal. They rarely bark but will whine, or moan, and also chirp and howl. Head held high, they will produce one of the most haunting songlike sounds.”
A group of young adults discovered the furry Siberian Husky walking around an open area. He seemed tired and unhealthy from being away from home. The dog was given to the police who had information of a reported lost pet.
The cops contacted the possible owner to see if it was a match. They asked him to come to the station and identify his dog.
The man was excited at the possibility and couldn’t wait to know if his lost pup had been found. He wanted a more immediate confirmation so he could be more at ease.
The man asked the police to find a song and play it for the pooch. The request was the dog’s favorite song, “Shemesh.” If it was indeed his pet, the man knew the dog would sing along.
As the song started to play, the Husky immediately looked up and started to howl and sing to the tune.
The man quickly went to get his dog and cried tears of joy when they reunited.
It’s amazing to hear touching stories of animal and human relationships. We are blessed to have them.
