8th-Grader Goes Public About School Cafeteria Food After Photo Of Lunch Sparks Concern

An eighth-grade student who wishes to remain anonymous is speaking out about the lunches being served in her school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Since she has the last lunch period of the day, the cafeteria is often sold out of options and usually the only thing left is the hamburgers.

But here is the problem: She says the burgers aren’t exactly eatable.

“The burgers are pink and they don’t look like they’re cooked at all,” she told WPMT. She says she’ll buy the burger, which comes with an orange, and then end up throwing everything away except for the fruit and milk. By the end of the school day, she’s usually starving.

Now her concerns are being shared by many other students and their parents, thanks to a viral photo showing one of these cafeteria hamburgers.

The unnamed student says, yes, the burgers look like this every day.
