We’ve all heard voices that just touched our hearts. It’s always fantastic to see a young voice impact us with strength also. This was the case with teen Reagan Strange as she sang “You Say” on the show ‘The Voice.’
The young woman has done very well on the show and is in Adam Levine’s group. The judges have encouraged her to carry feeling and emotion in her music, which can be harder for younger talent.
She completely embodied this direction in her performance of ‘You Say’ by Lauren Daigle. The lyrics are deeply touching, but to hear this young woman sing her heart out with passion took it to a completely new level.
“You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don’t belong, oh You say that I am Yours
And I believe, oh I believe
What You say of me
Oh, I believe”
Her voice was received with accolades from her coach Adam and the other judges.
“Reagan is becoming the star I knew she was the second I laid eyes on her,” said Adam.
He spoke to her after the show and said “Reagan, you epitomize everything that this show stands for because of the purity of what you do. And the clarity of how you do it is just astounding, and it filled this entire room with your voice.”
What a great song and a great young woman who shared it for the world to hear!
