97-Year-Old Veteran Gets Unlimited Meals From Arby’s
Doug is an amazing WWII Vet who absolutely loves Arby’s sandwiches. His standard meal is a roast beef sandwich and swiss cheese. He also prefers no ice in his cola. He enjoys this meal daily at a local Arby’s restaurant in Arizona.
The staff has come to know Doug very well. They welcome him and have all become very good friends with him. For the last two years, he has been a regular customer. So much so that he has contact information to call their mobile phones if he needs an employee to drop off a meal at his home.
Another man who also loves Arby’s is Daniel Moloney. He saw Doug and the employees talking. He noticed the wonderful connection between them all and was touched.
At that moment, the manager came over to tell Doug he had gift cards that were bought from the staff. Everyone gave a little to give the senior 200 dollars worth of restaurant gift cards.
“We really enjoy you here and we always want you to come back,” said the store’s head staff.
“I never know if I’ll be here the next day, but thank you so much for this,” replied Doug.
Daniel continued to watch all of this happen right before his eyes. He snapped a few photos and posted the story on social media.
“This is one of those moments that make you happy to be alive. There are so many good people in the world,” he wrote. “These employees selflessly put in their own money, so an elderly (sic) man could come in and enjoy dinner on what he never knew could be his last,” Daniel said.
News of Doug went viral after Daniel’s post. As a result, Arby’s now desires to give unlimited Arby’s meal for the vet.
