Babies are a blessing from God! Having a baby is so exciting, and expecting parents are often filled with joy when they first get to see their little bundle of joy in an ultrasound photo. Now, one woman is taking these ultrasound images and transforming them into beautiful paintings that parents can treasure forever.
Laura Steerman is a Dublin-based artist and the founder of Quaint Baby Bespoke Ultrasound Art. Steermanthere is able to take a sonogram and then transforms it into a beautiful work of art. “The idea for Quaint Baby bespoke ultrasound art hatched from my pregnancies with my daughters,” Steerman explains on her website. “The ultrasound photographs I treasured were too small to hang on a wall, too vague to blow up and even the colors didn’t seem to do their joyful dispositions justice.”
Steerman shares images of her art on her Instagram page and she is truly talented! Every piece that she creates serves to celebrate the connection between a mom and her growing baby. Each painting has different color schemes and designs, making each piece a unique portrayal of the relationship between the expecting mother and her baby that is still growing in the womb. And even though Steerman is based in Ireland, she ships her paintings worldwide.
