I don’t believe there are devils enough in hell to pull a boy out of the arms of a godly mother. ~ Billy Sunday. A mother’s love is second only to the love God has for all his children. God is the embodiment of love, and Maxxzandra Ford knows it best as she pushed and pushed to deliver her baby naturally. The child was brought into this world by the faith and toil of his loving mother.
Maxxzandra Ford delivered Avery Ford, the heaviest baby ever born at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital after a shocking 18 hours of labor. She delivered him naturally. As soon as she recovered from labor, she asked the doctors how much her baby weighed. Avery weighed a whopping 14 pounds and 1 ounce at birth.
Maxxzandra didn’t even realize she was pregnant until her third trimester. She said that she didn’t feel nauseous or gain any weight which would have otherwise indicated to her that she was pregnant.
Avery was in the neonatal intensive care shortly after his birth. Dr. Jenelle Ferry explained that large babies sometimes have problems breathing as well as regulating their blood sugar. They might also have a tough time eating.
Although Avery is the largest baby born at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital, experts say that only 1 in 100,000 babies born are born over 14 pounds.
