Marriage is a union of two souls in front of God. The trust that exists between married couples is unlike any other relationship. Married partners understand each other completely. They love and care for each other in spite of knowing each and every flaw that their partner has. The best part about being bonded so closely with someone is the freedom that comes with it. You can totally be who you are and expect to be understood and accepted even where others won’t understand. Take the story of this woman who hated the taste of peanut butter. Even the smell of peanut butter was unbearable to her. But every time she confessed this particular quirk of hers to someone, people would rush up to defend this delicious food. She eventually grew tired of this confrontation and escaped it by telling a little white lie. She began to tell people that she had a peanut allergy. As expected people’s reaction changed to apologetic as soon as they heard this. Some even pitied her. But this lie had one small flaw, and it was her love for candied peanut M&Ms.
Only her husband was aware of the entire truth and he chose to surprise her at the party when he noticed her craving for sweet peanut M&Ms. Throughout the night the temptation of M&Ms was upon her and he could see it. After the party, he emptied his jacket pockets in front of her to reveal a dozen of peanut M&Ms. “I was sneakily accumulating them all night for you because I could see the pain in your eyes,” he said. This was probably one of those moments where she couldn’t love him enough. “If that isn’t love, then I don’t know what is,” she later recounts.
