51-Year-Old Man Swimming From Japan to San Francisco to Save the Planet

You could call Ben Lecomte the real life Captain Planet! He’s a long-distance swimmer about to take on the Pacific Ocean to draw attention to the needs of Mother Earth. Two decades ago, he did something similar by swimming across the Atlantic, becoming the first person to make the journey solo. As he tackles the Pacific, Lecomte will encounter many dangers, including a migration area for great white sharks.
