The one of a kind experience of going to your local theater, grabbing a buttered up bag of popcorn, and sitting in a not so comfortable seat for three hours is all made worth it as long as you are there to see Avengers: Endgame. The action-packed thrill of all your favorite superheroes coming together to endure one last battle is heart-warming enough to bring a tear to your eye, but it’s not the only thing that may make you cry.
Although the film may include violence and bits of inappropriate language here and there, the inspiring story is great for people of all ages and all backgrounds. There was not a single moment throughout the movie in which I felt bored or inclined to take a bathroom break because the second your eyes stray from the screen you could be missing out on your soon to be, favorite part. It seemed as though even the minor characters were given a major role at some point during the film, from sacrifices to the unexpected heroes saving the day, you’ll never be able to guess what is going to happen next. Thor’s heroic humor combined with Rocket Raccoon’s one-liners are as perfect of a match as you could wish for in terms of Marvel’s trademark comic relief.
Even though your popcorn may become damp and salty from your tears and you could, in fact, leave the theater sobbing, the movie is still a perfect 10/10 in my books. So grab your tickets and a box of tissues then head to “the movies” and watch Avengers: Endgame because I can guarantee that you won’t regret it.
Notes to look out for:
It is 3 hours long so make sure you and your kids go to the restroom before.
There is some language in this one and most coming from Captain America. So just be warned.
Nothing too graphic in terms of fight scenes really, some things are implied but not shown. Some kids have a hard time with this one though cause of some deaths in it, not the dusting away ones like in Infinity War but real deaths. So be prepared.
I looked around and saw people weeping uncontrollably in this movie and was doing so myself. Be warned.
You will cheer, you will laugh and you will cry. And you will want to get back on the ride when its over.
