We are all pencils. Not in the physical form so much as the concept, but trust me when I tell you, we are exactly the same as the beloved, always handy, never failing pencil. As a pencil from the start has a purpose, we to have a purpose given to us by God and it is up to us to live it out. But, only if we follow God and obey his commands. Just as a pencil has a purpose, it can only be lived out if it allows itself to be held in someone’s hand. As people, we need to take a lesson from the pencil and stop trying to do things our own way and let God take us in his hands and achieve the purpose and journey that we were born to do.
