His Favor

Salvation occurs as a choice, our acceptance of the holy invitation that God has given to us through his Son. But our acceptance only begins the process of spiritual transformation that will take our whole lifetime. We don’t have to know what to do or how to do it. And we sure don’t have to do it perfectly.

We simply have to spend time with our Father and follow the model of his Son, Jesus. With Christ as our example, we can release our selfish pursuits and sinful choices and complete our Lord’s will: loving and serving others as we proclaim the gospel in what we say and what we do.

Today, know that God’s favor shines on you and that you have been saved. Enjoy the security that comes with being known and loved by the One who created you.

Pray: “Lord, thank you for living a life here on earth without sin. I still make mistakes, but I’m strengthened to know that you’ve experience the same temptations.”
