Teen With Degenerative Eye Disease Regains Eyesight

Ethan Ralston was 14 years old when he realized that he was starting to lose vision in both eyes.

“I had a very small portion on the right side in my right eye that I could see. And then in my left eye, there was only the peripheral edges that I could see out of,” Ralston said. He was diagnosed with LHON, a degenerative eye disease which can cause blindness.

Thanks to a genetic trial, Ralston is starting to get a second chance at sight again. Watch the video below and find out more about Ethan’s miraculous journey.
