God has blessed many of us with great parents who help shape and mold our lives.
As we grow up, sometimes we follow our own paths and other times, we walk in our parents’ footsteps.
Although he might have been too young to reach a police cruiser’s pedals back then, the son of Officer Gould knew precisely what he wanted to be when he grew up.
Now the father and son have taken the 20-year-old photo and placed it beside a new one and the result is a new priceless memory.
Talk about a double-take!
There is no doubt that the elder officer Gould, also recognized as 2012’s law enforcement officer of the year, is proud to have his son by his side.
You will also notice the caption states Michael is now 6’7″ and can definitely reach the pedals on his own.
“Recreating the photo 20 years later was a wonderful tribute to father and son,” the police department posted.
What a great way to spend a day, side by side and smiling as wide as they did two decades ago.
Remember to tell hug your dad and tell him that you love him. He will not always be here.
