Pastor Camps Out in Front of Church As Homeless Man to See What People Would Do

James MacDonald is the founding and Senior Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel of Rolling Meadows, Illinois. He is a compassionate man who truly wanted to spread the message of love to his members. He decided to go undercover as a man living on the streets. His wardrobe included gloves, a grey wig and matching beard, coats, sneakers, and a shopping cart full of bags.

He secretly recorded the reactions of many of the churchgoers, and later revealed his experiment at one of the Sunday services. He walked down the aisle of the packed auditorium in his street attire and approached the stage. Piece by piece, he removed the costume from his body, revealing his true identity.

“So, I took a few moments a couple of weeks ago and camped outside a couple of our campuses, and I wanted to see how we were doing, you know when it’s hardest to love,” Pastor MacDonald said to the congregation.

The Pastor was obviously emotional and pushed to convey his message. He continued as the audience clung to every word.

“So how did our church do in the video. I’m gonna tell you now, …Awesome. I was crying inside that beard. I cannot believe the people in this church. The number of people that prayed with me and brought me food.”

Coffee, money, water, food and tons of prayers were a few of the blessings given to the Pastor in disguise. He was also welcomed several times to come inside the church. One man even gave the word of God in a pamphlet for him to read.
