Witnessing animals suffering or in trouble has always broken our hearts. They’re so precious and innocent and depend on us for so much.

Animal Aid Unlimited saves animals through street animal missions and informative programs.

Their mission is devoted ”to the day when all living beings are treated with compassion and love”.

Not too far back, the organization got a distressing call about a hurt puppy on the side of the road.

When they finally arrived on the scene, mama dog was by his side crying out for help.

The dog was standing guard and taking care of her young one. But somehow, this clever mama knew rescuers were there to help her, so she put her complete faith in them.

Mama wanted to help but knew she couldn’t do it on her own.

The rescuers picked the pup up, and when he yelled out in pain, Mama cried too.

Papa dog was also concerned and rushed to see what was going on. Animal Aid carefully moved the tiny pup one to their vehicle, to take him back to the hospital.

Mama dog didn’t stop attempting to desperately communicate as rescuers softly lifted her puppy into the ambulance.

Unfortunately, the puppy had two deep puncture wounds on his arms. The wounds could be life-threatening if he did not receive care.

The little pup was a very brave dog through it all but he needed lots of sleep, food, and love. After getting the help he needed, he really wanted to walk on his own, he just could not. Not yet anyway.

”We weren’t sure if the nerve damage was permanent. But Toggle was comforted throughout the days of his healing, and while we fell in love with his incredibly sweet nature, we knew there was someone very important waiting for him back home”, Animal Aid Unlimited writes.

And now for their adorable reunion! This happy-ending story began as one of the saddest, when a mother dog cried out in despair, seemingly begging us to help her badly wounded baby.
