Jesus Loves Me This I Know

Today we take a look at Romans 8:37. Please take a moment to read our devotional.

We are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:37

In the dead of winter, beneath the frozen ground, it’s hard to believe that life still resides, buried there in darkness. But it does, of course, as the beauty of spring assures us. Ice and snow melt, tender shoots break the ground, and buds tease us with a blush of colored branches. The days grow longer, and the sun brings new life to everything in nature, resurrecting the promise of hot summer days.

Often we cannot see beyond the spiritual season of winter in which we sometimes find ourselves. Our faith feels lifeless and flat, our interest in spending time in prayer or
Bible study seems to have evaporated, and our hope of ever moving through our present troubles seems impossible. But even during these times—especially during these times—we must remember that God’s love is constant. It does not waver and increase and decrease based on our feelings.

You will get through your present struggles as sure as spring will bring new life.

Pray: “Dear God, thank you for loving me all the time, for providing all I need even when I feel as though I can’t see beyond my troubles.”
