It is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.
1 Corinthians 4:2
When a detective solves a crime, he looks for evidence. When a lawyer represents a defendant, they examine all the evidence gathered to make the case. When a judge or jury determines a verdict, they sort through all the evidence to see the pattern that emerges.
What evidence are you leaving behind that ensures others know you are a follower of Jesus? Are your words kind and considerate? Your actions selfless and diligent? Your attitude compassionate and authentic? If someone tried to “prove” you are a Christian, would there be enough evidence today?
Fortunately, whether they could or not, God’s grace sustains us and reminds us that we have been forgiven. We don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Christ has established all the proof we need to live as forgiven people.
