“I am Jesus Christ” describes itself as a ‘realistic simulator’ game inspired by stories from the New Testament of the Bible. PlayWay, the makers of the game, say “it lets you play as Jesus and perform all his famous miracles.”
The game makers state that you will be transported into olden times and follow the same path of Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago. The game covers the period of time from the Baptizing of Jesus Christ to his Resurrection.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see his miracles first hand? The game makers make the claim that you will be able to calm the storm at sea, exorcise demons and cure the sick. They also mention a fight with Satan. Yes Satan.
“I Am Jesus Christ is a real game based on the New Testament, and it begs the question ‘Are you ready to fight with Satan in the desert’?” tweeted video game website IGN.

“I am Jesus Christ” has also received criticism. “Too far, PlayWay. Thumbs down,” wrote one commenter on PlayWay’s Facebook page, in response to the trailer. “I’m not sure how to feel about this,” wrote another.
Other comments around social media are:
“Jesus is real and this makes Him look like some mythical person like Hercules or Zeus.” said Melissa S.
“What is this.” another person wrote on IGN’s posting on youtube of the trailer for the game.
Most of the comments on the youtube video of the trailer posted by IGN tend to be negative toward Jesus and Christians in general.
No details of the game’s release date have been posted, although the description on Steam says that it is “coming soon.”
