Fonzie and Richie, together again!
Henry Winkler and Ron Howard had a reunion at the Emmy Awards and people are loving it!
For his role as Gene Cousineau in HBO’s Barry at the 70th annual Emmy Awards, Harry Winkler just won his first-ever Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
It was his sixth nomination ever, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Previously he was nominated on Happy Days for Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli’s iconic role and The Practice.
In fact, Winkler never snagged a win for Fonzie, but at the award show on Monday night he eventually got some Happy Days time when he caught up with his former castmate, Ron Howard, who played Richie Cunningham.

Howard was not nominated for any awards, but he has won Emmys in previous years for his production work on Curious George, From the Earth to the Moon, and Arrested Development.
In a 2015 interview with Variety, Winkler spoke very fondly of Howard and it’s clear that the although it’s bee 40 years since Happy Days wrapped, time hasn’t dulled their friendship. In the article, Winkler called his friend “an amazing fellow,” who is “incredibly perceptive.” “I love him,” he added.
