You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
Isaiah 26:3
What does “perfect peace” look like to you? Many people believe the false idea that peace is the absence of trouble, conflict, or anxiety in their lives. They think that in order to feel content, calm, and relaxed, everything must go according to schedule, smoothly following their own plans and expectations.
Life doesn’t work this way, though, and neither does peace. Just as your body can be healthy even when you’re hungry, hot, cold, or tired, you can experience peace in your life regardless of life’s circumstances. When you focus on loving the Lord and serving others out of this love, you can know peace no matter what else happens today.
This kind of calm center remains unruffled by the winds of change and storms of unexpected trouble. This kind of peace provides a permanent shelter against anything you face today.

Pray: “Father God, I know that today won’t be perfect, but I also know that your peace is all I need—because it is perfect, just like your love for me.”
