What an amazing job!
Andy Manoloff was wanting to do something special this fall season, so this dog dad decided to carve a pumpkin. But not just any jack-0-lantern, he wanted to make one that resembled his beloved Pomeranian, Sophie.
In fact, Andy Manoloff carves an intricate jack-o’-lantern each year he says. This year he took it up a notch and carved his Pomeranian Sophie into a pumpkin. “It is something I look forward to every year, and each year I challenge myself to do something new and more difficult or different than the previous year,” he stated.
When you look at the picture, you can see why! Her adorable face would be perfect for any work of art! What a cutie!
“I use an X-Acto knife for almost everything,” he explained. “However, due to the need to carve so much hair, I also employed the use of some basic clay sculpting tools.”
It took a whole 3 hours as he cut out pieces of this pumpkin to look just like his dog. And, luckily for Andy, it’s something he really enjoys doing. “I’ve been doing these super-detailed pumpkins for about 8 years,” he claimed. “I enjoyed carving every Halloween as a kid and just kept getting more and more detailed over the years.”
