Successful birth stories are simply beautiful. Babies are blessings from God and every baby born is nothing less than a gift from the heavens. There have been so many stories about mothers giving birth to twins, triplets, quadruplets, and in some cases even more. Having twins is in itself rare and having triplets is like winning the jackpot.
But the story of Becky and her triplets is fascinating because all three came from separate eggs and had their own placenta. It left the doctors baffled and Becky and her husband celebrating thrice the joy they received when they were hoping for only one. Becky, who had already given birth to a baby girl, Mya, in February 2015 became pregnant with triplets soon after. It was natural and in less than a year, Becky had four beautiful babies in her arms.

Stories on triplets have been done before and there has been some pretty crazy stuff going on in them. Like for instance, the mother who ended up having 7 children after a son and two sets of triplets. One triplet is rare. She had two! And then there was “supermom” whose video of changing the diapers on her triplets went viral. The story of Becky and her triplets is interesting because of the bizarre circumstances and the fact that it was conceived naturally.
Becky John, a mother of a nine-year-old daughter, became pregnant and gave birth to her second child, Mya in February 2015. She and her husband immediately realized that it would be wonderful to have a sibling for Mya who was almost the same as her age. Therefore, they started trying right after Becky came home. In one week, Becky got pregnant. This surprised the couple and they weren’t excepting events to happen so fast.

But surprise quickly turned to shock when Becky went for a scan and the couple found out that they were having triplets! “I had to stare at the screen just to make sure for myself,” said Becky. “And I counted the heartbeats one by one. It was true I was actually pregnant with triplets.”

What baffled the doctors was not the fact that Becky was carrying triplets. It was the fact that all her babies came from separate eggs and had their own placenta that confused them. In most cases, after conception, the zygote separates to form two, three or more fetuses. Becky’s case was the rarest of the rare in terms of triplets.
The triplets, Ryan, Phoebe, and Raya were born on January, only 11 months after Mya was born. Becky said that she had been carrying almost 15 pounds of babies and she was relieved to find that all three were healthy and doing well.
