You serve a God who is able to do so much more than you can even imagine. Often we may feel afraid to ask God for what we need, let alone what we think we want. But if you approach him with the highest expectations—hoping beyond what we can even imagine—you might realize how often he fulfills your requests.
Sometimes your faith may feel limited simply because you’re not praying expectantly and paying attention. Jesus tells us that we don’t have because we don’t ask. We shouldn’t feel self-conscious, guilty, or greedy when we ask our Father for what we need. He delights in giving us good gifts, surpassing far beyond anything we can imagine for ourselves. But we have to allow him the opportunity by turning our hearts toward him. When we practice this habit, we discover that his mercies are truly fresh every morning.
