The sound of a baby crying at birth is such a sweet blessing. It’s the signal of life, its first breath. This moment can bring tears to a parents eyes and cheer for the doctors and nurses in the delivery room. A new life full of hope, possibilities, and adventure rest in this amazing bundle of joy.
Unfortunately, there are times when this special moment can turn heartbreaking and complications can cause harm to the infant. This was the case for a little baby girl in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The power of prayer turned this devastating moment into a testimony that will never be forgotten.
Robin Cyr was no stranger to the delivery room. She already had three children and was looking forward to meeting the newest member of her family. Sadly, Robin gave birth to her deceased baby girl after problems during the delivery. The medical team did everything they could to save her. After 25 minutes of working with the newborn, there was no sign of hope.
Shortly after losing all hope a staff member ran over to Robin and explained that the infant had in fact started to breathe.
“My aunt was there, and it’s a blessing because her prayers are very deep and strong,” explained Cyr. “When she started praying, my baby came back.”
Everyone was in complete shock including the doctor. The baby was dead for 28 minutes and was now alive.
Let us praise God for his blessings and remember that our God is an awesome God. Amen!
