Steve Biro took hundreds of pictures of a bald eagle named Bruce, but one was standing out from the crowd.
“He’s squared up perfectly, both wings are touching the water,” he told the BBC. “That [photograph] was the one that struck me as little more special than the others.”
The photo has went viral now.
Biro, who started taking pictures as a hobby ten years ago, visited the Canadian Raptor Conservancy of Ontario when he met the bald eagle named Bruce.
“He’s really awesome and fairly well behaved but also has a mind of his own too,” he told the ABC.
Biro set up his camera to take a picture of the bird flying over the water. He discovered Bruce was not pleased with the perch.
“He was actually trying to brush me away from where I was perched,” he told the BBC. “I could feel the breeze from his wings as he flew over me. The other people who were there were gasping as he came over my head. It was really quite exhilarating.”
Biro snapped pics as Bruce passed over. The results were more than he could have hoped for.
“I knew it was a great image when I saw how balanced it was but never in my wildest dreams did I expect anything of this magnitude.”
“It warms my heart to know I might bring joy to people who may not even be able to leave the house and that they love to see the world through my eyes.”
