Stand Firm

Some days it feels as though nothing goes right. You oversleep, your car breaks down, and you miss the big meeting at work. Even when your day goes smoothly, it can still seem monotonous and tiring. You get caught up in all kinds of busyness, but then at the end of the day, you wonder what you’ve actually accomplished.

People tend to assess their day based on what they produce, complete, resolve, and check off their lists. However, when we focus on God, we can stand firm when change comes our way and blocks our paths. We can know that everything we do contributes to our Father’s master plan, his holy purpose for our lives. Even when we feel as though we didn’t accomplish anything on our to-do lists, we are part of something bigger and more meaningful than we can see.

Pray: “Dear God, I get frustrated with how challenging my life seems. Help me to remember that when it’s for your glory, my actions will always have purpose and meaning.”
