More than ever, we feel pressured to have it together in all areas of our lives. Sometimes it’s tempting to compare ourselves to friends and others we see on Facebook and other social media sites. We want to change our lives and be just as happy and successful as they seem.

But we don’t have to change ourselves to earn God’s love. He loves us, and our experience of his grace transforms us from the inside out. You may never lose those extra pounds or keep all your resolutions. And the good news is that you don’t have to!

You will naturally become more like Christ when you draw closer to him, enjoy getting to know him better, and serve him out of gratitude, not obligation. Sometimes the best way to grow in our faith is to stop trying so hard to be a better person.
