World War II veteran, Doug, is a “regular” at the Arby’s in Chandler, Arizona. It’s easy to tell, from the order he gets every time, that Doug is a meat-lover. Although this may be true, that is not the only reason the war hero gets the same meal over and over.
Another man who also loves Arby’s is Daniel Moloney. He saw Doug and the employees talking. He noticed the wonderful connection between them all and was touched.
The Arby’s employees decided to sit down with Doug one day and ask the loyal customer just why he comes back to their location. Doug had a very heart-warming answer which surprised the curious workers. Doug told them that Arby’s is the only place he can get a meal that doesn’t hurt his stomach. Doug, unfortunately, has a stomach disease which restricts his diet extremely and Arby’s is his safe haven for a wholesome meal. The employees decided to award Doug’s honesty and loyalty with a $200 gift card to their fast-food chain.
“We really enjoy you here and we always want you to come back,” said the store’s head staff.
“I never know if I’ll be here the next day, but thank you so much for this,” replied Doug.
Daniel continued to watch all of this happen right before his eyes. He snapped a few photos and posted the story on social media.
