Planning holiday shopping can get a little hectic if it isn’t organized. Buying gifts, wrapping them and getting it all done by the time Christmas Day is here can be a big feat. Ken Watson did an amazing job prepping for the holiday. In fact, he bought gifts for the next 14 years.
Ken Watson was an interesting next door neighbor. He had a huge sense of adventure and a big personality.
“Ken was a former salvage diver, seaman, carpenter, baker,” described his neighbor and father of 2-year-old Cadi. “The first time I met him, he was bouncing a 20-foot ladder across the face of his house.
“He was on top. He was 83 at the time.”
Rumor has it that in his mid-80s he tried his luck with skydiving and other aireal feats.
Our elderly neighbour passed away recently. His daughter popped round a few moments ago clutching a large plastic sack. In the sack were all the Christmas presents he’d bought for *our* daughter for the next thirteen years. ? pic.twitter.com/6CjiZ99Cor

Ken was fond of his neighbors and their daughter Cadi. In fact, it was later discovered he did a tremendous amount of holiday shopping for the little girl.
One day Ken’s daughter came over with something for Cadi.
“She was clutching this big bag plastic sack and I thought it was rubbish she was going to ask me to throw out,” Williams explained. “But she said it was everything her dad had put away for Cadi.
“It was all of the Christmas presents he had bought for her.”
The kind elderly neighbor had bought14 gifts, one for each Christmas until she was 16.
“It’s difficult describing it because it was so unexpected,” said Cadi’s dad. “I don’t know how long he put them away, whether it was over the last two years or whether he bought them towards the end of his life.”
What a great reminder to love your neighbor and bless others.
