Meeting the new baby can be really great for older siblings… or quite terrible. You never know exactly what you’re going to get until it happens.

While Erin and Dale were getting ready to welcome their second daughter, the two had a hunch that their 6-year-old daughter Adalynn would be excited to meet her new little sister Madison. What they didn’t expect was how moved the child would be when she looked at that tiny, swaddled face for the first time.

We see little Addy welcomed into her mother’s hospital room just minutes after Madison was born in a sweet video that has gone viral with millions of views. The child looks at her face and it reminds us of Christmas morning; she obviously can’t wait to see a wonderful gift that she has been waiting to see for 9 months!

Nevertheless, as she reaches the bedside and sees the face of her sister for the first time, nothing could have prepared her for the rush of emotions she would feel. Indeed, just looking at her reaction also makes us feel some pretty powerful emotions.

You can tell she wants to hold her sister so badly, but she was happy for the time being with only holding the tiny hand of her sister. But, as Erin shared on Facebook, she eventually caved to her daughter’s request to hold her new sister. It was honestly too cute… and who could pass up this precious photo opportunity?
