Only a mother can explain what it truly feels like to bring life into this word and also, to lose it. But, sometimes loss is a part of God’s plan. He uses loss to show us his presence and often, it’s through the kindness of others.
Valerie Watts from Cokato, Minnesota knows about this more than anyone else. The young woman was more than excited when she found out that she would be the mother of a young baby boy. However, fate had its own plans.
Just a few days prior to her delivery, Valerie suffered a miscarriage. Needless to say, her whole world came crashing down. But, as time passed, she began to heal. However, she couldn’t bring herself to sell the things she bought for her unborn son. After all, those things were the only memory she had left of her son.
But, in May 2014, Valerie finally decided to sell the crib she had bought for him, which she managed to do at a yard sale. The crib was bought by a man named Gerald who had no clue about the story behind it.
But, luckily for Gerald, his wife had spoken to Valerie and knew everything. The moment she shared the story with Gerald, he knew he couldn’t keep the crib and that it had to be returned. However, Gerald, a carpenter by profession, knew that the bed in the crib wouldn’t last long. So, he used his skills to turn the crib into a stunning little chair.
