Whitney Kropp was incredibly excited when her classmates chose to nominate her for homecoming court at Ogemaw Heights High School in Michigan.
But the 16-year-old sophomore’s elation quickly disappeared, as some of the mean-spirited students in her class told her the nomination was nothing more than a bad prank.
What a despicable thing to have to endure. It’s like something out of a teen horror film!
As a result of the cruel joke, Whitney went through a bout of depression and suicidal thoughts. She says she “felt like trash.” At one point, things got so bad she even thought about taking her own life.
As word of the prank spread through various media outlets, Whitney became the focus of many local and national headlines. Other students from her district were shocked by the news. Facebook support groups thrust the teen and her family into the national spotlight.
As the night of the school’s homecoming quickly approached, Whitney was apprehensive to attend despite her newfound fame and loving support system. But instead of staying home, she ended up turning the tables on her bullies.
Just watch and see for yourself what Whitney decided to do. Absolutely stunning!
