It is our simple acts of kindness that not only restore the balance between the good and evil in the universe but also act as a reaffirmation of the existence of the Almighty God. There are such benevolent people all around us that never think twice before extending their helping hand to others in need. That said, this inspiring story is a fine example of the goodness of mankind.

The Facebook post talks about a woman who was sitting alone on a table at McDonald’s apparently waiting for someone. Suddenly, a man walked into the restaurant with a young kid and joined the lady at the table. The woman remarked, “You were supposed to be here an hour ago. Hey, do you have a couple dollars so I can get a cheeseburger? All I have is enough for his happy meal”. To this, the man responded by refusing to offer any help.

The writer of the post watched as the lady shuffled inside her purse and checked her car for money to cover for her kid’s lunch expenses. Watching the lady struggle for a small amount of 37 cents, the writer decided to offer help and buy the mother and the son a full McDonald’s meal. He walked up to the cashier and, after paying for the amount in full, asked the worker to deliver a handwritten note to the lady anonymously from him. The note read, “Keep your head up and always push forward. You CAN. You WILL”. The little gesture of kindness and compassion from the man had moved the woman to tears.
