After Michigan state trooper Michael Shaw was contacted about a crisis in progress, he helped immediately.
Michael along with authorities diverted vehicles away from the busy scene. Next, they guided multiple 18 wheelers to sit below an overpass on the highway.
Michael was told moments earlier that a man was trying to hurt himself by falling off of the overpass.
13 truckers made a difference by eagerly assisting when Michael requested their help.
They all lined up perfectly under the area of the overpass to limit the distance and possible harm the man could do to himself if he fell.
The attempt worked. The man changed his mind four hours later. Authorities walked him away from danger and lead him to those who could give him proper assistance.
The patient truck drivers blessed not only the man but also everyone who witnessed their teamwork.
This photo does show the work troopers and local officers do to serve the public. But also in that photo is a man struggling with the decision to take his own life. Please remember help is available through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. pic.twitter.com/RBAlCIXT1o
