Two boys walked into Taco Bell to try and sell some homemade desserts to raise some money for their local Church.

One of the boys was 13-years-old. The other, 9, and both of them looked cold and they were soaked to the bone.

Robert Risdon was eating in the restaurant when he saw the boys walk in. He asked the boys if they had eaten dinner yet.

What happened next has gone viral, and it was all captured on video by another customer at the resturnant named Jason.

Jason wrote on a facebook post: “I was in a Taco Bell tonight when two kids came in trying to sell homemade desserts for money. I overheard a soldier ask the kids if they were hungry and told them to follow him to the counter, he would buy them dinner. This is a wonderful man, very loving thing to do and a great role model, we need more people like him.”

Jason continued. “I had to video it and share. Our troops are always taking care of us. Thank u LTC Robert Risdon please please share this….I heard the little one say I want to be just like u when I grow up and saluted him.”

Risdon remains humble even as his story has garnered so much attention by millions of people celebrating his kind actions. But to Risdon, it was just another day.

“I’m kinda embarrassed and humbled by the praise and don’t need it,” he said in a recent interview with The Huffington Post. “I am a believer that we live in the best country in the world with the best people and that acts of kindness happen every day.”

Way to go, sir, you are a good man and those two little boys are going to remember you. People talk about ‘random acts of kindness’ but to many they are not random. They live a life of kindess to others. Help someone when they need help. Feed someone when they are hungry. Give to someone who needs something given to them. Be kind. If we live each day with kindness in our hearts, it will finally stop being called ‘random’ by those who are amazed by it on the sidelines. God bless LTC Robert Risdon.
