Miracles happen all around us, every day. The miracle of birth is one of the most unbelievable miracles that there is. It’s our job to trust that God knows what he’s doing and that he always has a plan no matter what. Preparing for the birth of your very first child is often the happiest time of your life. However, things took a turn for Bex and Martin Forrest. Their daughter, Willow Rose, had to be delivered through an emergency C-section 4 months prior to her due date.
On the day of the delivery, her parents were keenly listening for that cry that meant she would be alright. But, they were met with silence. The silence kept going for a long 8 minutes. The doctors had to resuscitate her out her in a refrigeration suit and transfer her to St. Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. Specialists at the hospital worked tirelessly for 3 whole days to keep her body temperature down in order to prevent brain damage. Incredibly, Willow is now a healthy baby, living a healthy life.
