Man Sees Baby Doll Floating In Water But When He Grabs It, He Hears A Noise And Realizes Its A Baby

It was a beautiful early morning in New Zealand and Gus Hutt decided to explore a new location for fishing at the beach. Murphy’s Holiday Campsite seemed mostly empty and peacefully quiet. Gus was enjoying his time when to his surprise, a floating doll passed by. In a matter of seconds, Hutt realized it was actually a small child.

“As he floated past I thought he was just a doll,” Hutt shared.

“So, I reached out and grabbed him by the arm; even then I still thought it was just a doll.

“His face looked just like porcelain with his short hair wetted down, but then and he let out a little squeak and I thought ‘oh God this is a baby and it’s alive’.”

“He was floating at a steady pace with a rip in the water. If I hadn’t been there, or if I had just been a minute later I wouldn’t have seen him,” Hutt said to the New Zealand Herald. “He was bloody lucky, but he just wasn’t meant to go; it wasn’t his time.”

The little boy was at the beach with his parents and escaped from their campsite as the parents slept. He crawled out into the sand and into the water.

Luckily the child was okay and didn’t have any injuries. The parents were notified by the ground’s management and were in shock. “I don’t think my heart [beat] from hearing that to seeing him. I don’t think my heart worked,” his mother said.

They were thankful for their child’s rescue and expressed their great appreciation to the hero fisherman.
