Desmond Tutu once said, “You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them. God has a plan for each one of us. Even if all seems like it isn’t going well, it is going according to His design. Michael Ketterer’s children may have been dealt bad hands at the start of their lives, but they have seen first hand how it is all a part of God’s design.
Simon Cowell is notorious for being a tough nut to crack. But that didn’t stop Michael Ketterer from trying his luck in the game show ‘America’s Got Talent.’ According to Ketterer his motivation for appearing on the show is his wife and six children.
His children have been adopted from foster care, and Michael wanted to show them that they too could dream. Michael Ketterer said to Simon Cowell, “If their dad can live out his dream then nothing is impossible for them.”
As soon as Michael began it was as if the voice of God filled the room. His voice cast such enchantment on the judges that Cowell remarked, “Sometimes, actions speak louder than words.” This was followed by Simon using his golden buzzer for the season. The golden buzzer can only be pressed once by each judge in an entire season of America’s Got Talent. It sends a participant straight to the semi-final of the show bypassing many intermediary rounds.
