We should love them and respect animals so that we can coexist with them on this planet peacefully. We must never cause harm to animals as they are God’s creations. Even if we can’t understand animals, we have much to learn from them. Avinash Lodi, a photographer from India, captured an extremely emotional moment which shows the animal kingdom in a different light. He witnessed a monkey “wailing” as she held on to her child and decided to capture that moment.

When asked about the situation that lead to this photo, he said, “When I was returning I suddenly saw a group of monkeys rushing here and there. I decided to sit down and watch their activities. I wanted to capture some pictures of them, even though I was losing light, but I managed to capture this. It was so quick I didn’t even know what was happening when I took the picture.” However, the monkey’s distress didn’t last long, as the baby came back to life after he took the picture. The photo taken by Avinash Lodi is a testament to the fact that even animals feel emotions, like human beings. Lodi added, “This picture is very close to my heart because throughout my entire photography career I have never seen anything like this. This moment is rare, especially with animals.”
