Many have heard of the egg that beat out Kylie Jenner as the holder of the most-liked post ever on Instagram with 25 million likes. What never got any attention though is this picture of Jesus that reached well over 8 million likes on Facebook and was the record holder for both facebook and Instagram until Kylie Jenner 18 million in 2018.

This image of Jesus was shared back in 2014 on facebook. It quickly, within weeks, got up to 8 million likes and countless shares and comments. Then suddenly, it was gone. The problem was, the artwork was uploaded by someone who did not ask the artist and after it blew up and was getting lots of likes, the person was then trying to sell his music CDs to the people who liked the artwork.

The artist, Mark Spears, was contacted by his fans asking why the other person was sharing his work and Spears reached out to the person and asked him to remove it since the person was trying to sell merchandise to the people who liked the image. Sadly we do not know how many likes it would have ended up with. The image was posted by the artist in 2015 but it now stands at 2 likes. But it is nice to know that 8 million people at one time got a Jesus picture trending on facebook.
