Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
James 3:13
So often when we follow Jesus daily, we forget that we don’t have to appear perfect to those around us. Obviously, we want to set a good example and share God’s love with others in ways that will draw them to want him. But just as wisdom is gained by suffering some of life’s hard knocks, living a “good life” includes showing some of our struggles, needs, and mistakes.
When other people see us going through trials without giving up, when they witness us turning to God to see us through, they realize that we’re not trying to do it alone. Those around us need to see our limitations from time to time so that they can appreciate the miraculous ways that God intervenes in our lives.
