Children can really make us smile. They are full of such light and joy. They can also say some pretty thought-provoking concepts. On this particular day, it was singing that touched Andy Grammer, from the vocal cords of a little girl.
The kind-hearted entertainer spent his day bringing uplifting tunes to the little ones at Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas. He went room by room and sang songs to brighten each kid’s day.
When he came to visit Kylah, he was introduced to her doll Emily and to her pretty awesome voice! As he kneeled next to her bed, he was struck with the quality of her voice. The natural vabrato and richness. It was a raw talent that wasn’t trained, but still a solid foundation.
He shared his experience on social media.
“She then proceed[s] to touch my soul with her voice. She pulled out her iPad and sang her guts out to a song called ‘I Believe’ by Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled.”
The young woman exudes such positivity and was an inspiration for Andy. He insisted they be friends and told her she could truly be a singer one day.
“Her voice and spirit have stayed with me this week. I am [in] love. When I come back to Dallas I want her to come sing on stage with me. I hope this makes your week like it made mine.”
The gift of joy was given back to the singer who’s intention was to spread love. Such a blessing for both of them to have met each other. What a great reminder to share love.
