Amazing Facts About King David and Jesus – The Lord works in mysterious ways

The Lord works in mysterious ways. By following what we know about Jesus Christ and King David, we find a connection between the great king of Israel and Judah and his descendent, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

David was a young shepherd who first gained fame as a musician and later by killing Goliath. He became a favorite of King Saul and a close friend of Saul’s son Jonathan. Worried that David would try to take his throne, Saul turned on David. After Saul and Jonathan were killed in battle, David was anointed as King. David conquered Jerusalem, taking the Ark of the Covenant into the city, and established the kingdom founded by Saul.
