Think you’re home is protected from intruders? You might want to think again.
Bill Stanton, author of “Prepared Not Scared: Your Go-To Guide for Staying Safe in an Unsafe World,” is a security expert. In this video below he shows us his tips for turning your home into a fortress. It all starts, he says, with signs to make bad guys think twice from even looking at your home.
“You don’t want to make it too obvious, but you want to get the message across,” Stanton said. In addition to easily readable signs, Stanton also recommends motion lights. When someone tries to walk up in the middle of the night to look in a window or try and open a door, the lights come on. This is a great way to scare off the intruder or call attention to what he is doing.
